It was so fun to be back in my old stomping ground. The same place that I worked really hard to develop my photography skills and style. Perrys Paddock, in the Norther suburbs of Perth. A quiet Lakelands that sprawls across multiple suburbs. The restrictive nature of returning to photograph the same location was really helpful. It pushed me to really look for new opportunities. Notice the light changing throughout the year. How to work with different lighting conditions and make it work in a way that was flattering for my excited clients. Ultimately working towards something creative and artistic.

So when Kaitlin and Matt booked me in for their back yard style elopement I was pumped! They were a perfect for each other and they were up for a quick adventure, right on sunset at Perrys Paddock, not for from their place just across the road. Photographed back in early 2023 I had Tahnee Jade along for the ride while we explored some of the earliest dwellings that were build around 1900 in the norther suburbs.
