A message from the universe! Literally a day after wondering if it would be safe to travel again for work, I had an enquiry from Ash & Will. They were heading to Puglia which is located on the ‘heel of the boot’ of Italy. They were planning on getting married there along with their Australian cohort of family and friends.
Tahnee and I jumped at the opportunity. Straight up I was like, “I am involved” “where do I subscribe” hahaha. Flights were booked and accommodation sourced immediately. Last time I was in Italy was for Erin and Nasir’s elopement back in 2018. That trip changed me. It helped my work grow considerably. It also gave me a taste of the big wide world out there so I was super keen to get back.
Obviously you know Italy is going to be impressive. Theres no shortage of online content driving us all wild lollll. However it’s still mind blowing once you get there. Each region is uniquely different which I still can’t fully comprehend. For its geographical size it’s just one extreme to the next. Coastal cliffs on the Amalfi Coast, hustle and bustle of urban streets in Florence, endless rolling mountains of greenery in Tuscany, the deep blue accent of the atmosphere amongst the mountains leading to the waters edge at Lake Como, to the Mediterranean white washed coastline of Puglia. The path was carved thanks to Tahnee exception planning and navigational skills. 2500kms of driving between destinations on Italian speedways (auto Strada) in our little hire car smashing the rev limiter to keep up with the locals hahaha.
Ash & Will had planned out a truly authentic Italian dining experience for their guests to indulge in. With hand made ravioli and fresh mozzarella being produced in front of the guests while the Aperol Spritz flowed.
Masseria Narducci was the perfect venue to host this feast of food and signing of nuptials. With the guidance of Pia, Ash & WIll’s wedding planner, everyone was well informed and the day flowed smoothly. An impressive accomplishment taking into consideration the language barrier and distance. Tahnee and I are still talking about the 3 course vendor meal that we were treated to! Oh and the pool was super enticing amidst the Italian summer so this place had it all!
It was really important to us to capture the complete experience from start to finish and every detail in between. This is something that we both hold a lot of importance for and bring into every wedding we shoot. Where ever we are. One of my favourite part (and there was many haha) is showcasing how the light changes throughout the day.
We felt so welcomed amongst Ash, Will and their guests. Pia and her team really made us feel at home as well. Both of us really appreciated the level of care we received from everyone. Incredible experience. Highly recommend. 5 stars and all that hahah.
