Libby & Luke’s Melbourne Elopement: A Love Story in the Heart of the CBD.

On a suspiciously sunny day in the middle of August, I had the pleasure of photographing Libby and Luke’s intimate elopement in the vibrant heart of Melbourne’s CBD. The weather was absolutely stunning—a rare treat for the season—making their day feel all the more brighter.

Libby’s style truly caught my eye. Her wedding dress, with those sleeves, was the perfect blend of elegance and modern charm. The bouquet she carried added a playful pop of colour, beautifully complementing the warm tones of the day. Luke’s laid-back yet stylish demeanor made the perfect match. As a photographer, moments like this are pure gold.

Their ceremony was a heartfelt blend of emotions—there were a few tears, lots of smiles, and the type of vibe where you could just feel it in the air.  Their journey together, from a long-distance relationship to this very moment, made the occasion feel even more special. Hearing their story added depth to the day, making each photograph that much more meaningful.

After the formalities, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and strolled through Melbourne’s bustling streets, hitting a few iconic spots along the way. Our walk ended at Recoleta, where they held their lunchtime reception just across the road. The entire day was an intimate, fun filled celebration—a perfect reflection of their love.
