Mieke & Mike – Hijacking the streets – oh and sneaking a Wedding in there
I can’t accurately describe just how fun it was hanging with these guys. Cruising the streets of Inglewood with their Dogo’s. Random Cacti, over grown alleyways and cold pressed coffee. Getting ready together was cool and super refreshing. Did it make the ceremony any less special? Absolutely not. Go figure? Mike is a bit of a fellow photography frother, so I pulled out my Rolleiflex and 5×4 large format camera for a little play.
I had to laugh when Meike told me about her nightmare she woke up from at 3am one morning. The thought that their wedding photographer was a little short ass and how was he going to photograph these magnificent tall humans! Lol its amazing what I could achieve carrying around a small step ladder for the day hahaha just kidding.
This was the first time I had experienced a live band, take over the ceremony and scoop up all the guests. We danced (yes me included) from the park, around the corner and back to Mike’s sisters place where they bombed the backyard out with a grazing feast, fine whiskey and a rad as heck neon sign. The Two Cent Pros kicked on with insane tunes for the rest of the night.
